Dan is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur whose career spans more than two decades across both corporate giants and fast-moving startups. With a deep focus on digital transformation, AI change management, and innovation strategy, Dan has built a reputation for driving impactful change in organizations across Silicon Valley, Greater China, and Southeast Asia.
His corporate journey includes senior leadership roles at Nokia, Samsung, and MTR Corporation, where he operated at the GM and VP levels with regional responsibilities. In these roles, Dan led major innovation and transformation initiatives, helping global companies adapt to emerging technologies and shifting market dynamics.
In 2014, Dan transitioned into the startup world as CEO of Rokid, a pioneering Chinese AI company. Under his leadership, Rokid gained prominence in the AI space, and Dan has since applied artificial intelligence across more than 40 use cases spanning multiple industries. His ability to bridge cutting-edge technology with real-world business applications has made him a sought-after voice in the AI and innovation communities.
Dan holds an MBA from Harvard University and both BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Semiconductors from Stanford University. His academic foundation, combined with his global executive experience, equips him with a unique perspective on technology-driven business transformation.
Beyond his corporate and entrepreneurial endeavors, Dan is deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of innovators. He serves as a mentor and coach at Hong Kong Science & Technology Park, Orbit Startups, SOSV/MOX, and the Creative Destruction Lab in Canada, where he supports emerging founders in scaling breakthrough ideas.
